Anaqihr is a wizard from the Dweomer Enclave that assists in the creation and facilitation of the Great Games in Bazagon. One day, he was sent alongside some runners who had proven themselves to investigate the appearance of undead beasts outside the city walls. Not only did the beasts present a potential danger to the people of Bazagon, but their sudden appearance was linked to the activities of recent gauntlet runners.

The party found that a fungal elemental with necrotic powers had grown there. Anaqihr identified that it was similar to a creature the Dweomer Enclave was devising for a gauntlet. The Horned One, the leader of a terrorist group called the Obscura Maskareta, succeeded in persuading it to join his rebellious cause against the empire of Bazagon.

Anaqihr reported these events back to the Dweomer Enclave, but he was told that there was no evidence of any research having been taken or stolen. Suspicious of this response, Anaqihr began venturing into Kóris Ekteinō and other crime-ridden areas to learn the truth. The Horned One took what belonged to the enclave and made a fool of Anaqihr in the process. This will not stand.

Anaqihr used the alias Vaelgor when posing as a gauntlet runner during his investigation in Koris Ekteino. He was assisted by the blue dragon Thesmoryx who was trying to escape from under the thumb of the Maskareta, but Thesmoryx was assassinated by the Maskareta and presumably raised to undeath to join their ranks.

Knowing that his identity can no longer remain secret, Anaqihr sought protection from the Aurelion Urbane. He has done away with his prior alias, as it no longer serves a purpose.
