It didn't happen all at once, but slowly, with a painful realization of the men who manned the walls and encampments beyond the Slip Gates. People were dismissed in pockets before the orders were officially released. A manner of protection for those brave volunteers who just as quickly answered the call will need to slide back into the shadows of obscurity to survive the coming weeks and months. Then it happened in earnest as though a stake driven through the heart of valor came at the command of one Patience Perryvale...

“The war efforts in Maraména Periánthio are henceforth to be ended and relations with residence therein to be normalized.”

That's when the second realization came to them. Their commander, Anastacia Pakenpot, after a vision gifted to her by a mysterious stranger of the future conflict, is seen equally packing their belongings with as stoic a disposition as they can muster. All morale then sank into depths not long forgotten by the denizens of Koris Ekteino. A reminder that the dark has teeth and those bitten by it have unto them a ravenous fervor that can snuff even the brightest of flames. The day they retreated and the Slip Gates opened was a silent one. No one could stomach speaking as to what they knew would come next. A gaseous and flammable celebration of hoisted colors by the populist host…

But why had this happened? What force could unravel the deeds of a promising hero of the people? The answer is simple… A threat far greater than any she had faced yet…

NOTE: This is a majority role play session for an event that has already occurred in private between two characters. Player presence will be rewarded but it can be understood that one's character is not present. The characters signed up will be the ones who may potentially hear of this event through rumor.
