Ashryn is a centaur of Gildanese descent. During a time of war, his parents fled the continent and made Bazagon their new home.

Ashryn hated this. Pulling carts and performing manual labor in exchange for coin was a far cry from the freedom to run, shepherd, and hunt in the open plains of Gildas.

Wanting to get away from this dark place of cobbled and cramped roads, Ashryn signed up for the Bazagonian army to travel. His simple mind and straightforward matter-of-fact attitude made him an ideal soldier.

When Bazagon moved to form a colony in Sarzalom, Ashryn fought hard to be among the ranks of the chosen delegation. His lack of negotiation skill was overlooked in deference to his combat abilities. Because centaurs are a relatively rare people, his superiors also thought his presence would grant a degree of familiarty to the delegation that it wouldn't have otherwise. Sarzalom is one of the few places in Ichoros with native groups of centaurs.

Somehow he ended up sharing charge of three mercenaries alongside the half-orc Brandyr. Hopefully he doesn't lead them astray (or get led astray himself).
