Appearance
Sylk is rather average in build and appearances, though he is consistently mistaken for a woman by surface dwellers. He doesn't care what others think, let alone what gender they muster of him.
The drow has the staples of a selandrine of the Underdark- purple-hued skin, long silky off-white hair, and orange eyes. He typically wears clothes reminiscent of Lolth-worship, including muted and dark colors and a web motif. He doesn't worship Lolth unlike the rest of the Kuldrexel family. The motif assists in either blending into Underdark locales, or intimidating surface dwellers into compliance or leaving him alone.
When not armored, Sylk prefers a nondescript outfit of loose and dark clothing. His long hair is always tied up in some fashion, unless he's in the middle of spending an hour to brush it after a bath.

Backstory
Sylkran Kuldrexel was born the youngest of five and the only son, not a likely heir the drow noble house and its land. Wars of the Underdark are common, and House Kuldrexel found itself in the intrigue against House Ssossz for land and territory. Sylkran was a teenager when the houses clashed. His last wish by Mother SiNafay was to survive and to rebuild. The family blade was pressed into his hands and his escape was made. No one else of House Kuldrexel survived.
A noble might be hunted, but a mercenary wouldn't be. The sword Sylkran was given held the original matriarch of House Kuldrexel and had turned vengeful. Matriarch Akordil Kuldrexel vowed to train the young man, and a pact was made. Through Akordil, "Sylk Teke'zynge" was trained in the depths of the Underdark to become just as fierce as his family before him.
Sylk's journeys as a mercenary led him to the surface on occasion, though he worked out of Midhelm. For a decade, he has practiced odd jobs and mercenary work, and for a decade, Akordil has plotted her revenge. Sylk isn't too sure he cares to earn the Kuldrexel title back, but his grandmother is his only family left, so what's he to do?
Recently, he's heard of work available through a guild on the surface. Perhaps this Glassfang Syndicate could use one adept at the dark and through combat to aid them...
