Valyria grew up surrounded by wealth, books, and expectations. She became obsessed with magic and rare artifacts, partly because collecting valuable things gave her something to focus on when everything else felt empty.
She now travels as a mage, searching for forgotten spells, magical treasures, and anything rare enough to be worth a fortune. She rarely admits how lonely she feels, hiding it behind greed, sarcasm, and ambition. She just wants to be rich and wants to become powerful enough that she'll never feel helpless again.
After leaving her old life behind, Valyria eventually found herself drawn to the Raven Guard. Their work, their focus on survival, and the promise of earning good coin appealed to her. She approached the Guard looking for work and a chance to prove herself, and after proving her worth, Valyria joined them as a Feather, beginning her new life among the Ravens.
