The Endless Arena:

Mitramber Money Madness

By decree of High Mage Tedithain, an offering to Plutios the Magnate, the Golden King.

Plutios cares nothing for mercy or cruelty. He cares only that we strive for what is worth having. Everything has a price, and today the price is paid in hobgoblins. Hobgoblin hordes pour into the arena every round without end. Kill as many as you can, then escape. But the exit opens only every 3rd round. Miss it and wait three more. The Golden King spurns a stingy offering, so give him a generous one.

Levels:

4 to 9

Rewards:

Gold: 50 gp x the CR of every enemy slain, split evenly between the contestants who escape alive. The dead collect nothing.
The Tithe: Each survivor splits their share 50/50 with their beneficiary.
Example: if your character earns 500 gp, you keep 250 gp and your beneficiary receives 250 gp.*

Sign-Up Requirements: In your sign-up description, post:

Your faction/guild/ludus
Your beneficiary (the character who will receive half your share) and an in-character reason why

(I will not approve you without these descriptions, if you aren't in a faction say No faction)

Beneficiary Rules:

Must be another player's character, not your own.
Cannot enter the arena.
Cannot take part in any future Mitramber Money Madness session.
Must agree to being a beneficiary

Rules:

Endless waves of hobgoblins, one wave appears at the start of every round from a random table. The exit appears only every 3rd round. Escape alive to claim your share. Each contestant may enter only once.

Ludus teams and factions are welcome to enter together. Loot lost to death belongs to the house. HIGH RISK HIGH REWARD.

Difficulty:

The hobgoblins did not volunteer. They have been promised their freedom if they survive, and they fight like it. Expect them to play strategically and focus down contestants one at a time.
