Kael Ashthorn was raised in a secluded monastery where he learned that mortals are not bound by the circumstances of their birth. Calm, intelligent, and quietly ambitious, he travels Ichoros seeking forgotten knowledge, ancient magic, and answers about his infernal bloodline. Behind his composed demeanour lies an unwavering belief that every limit can be overcome, and that through knowledge, discipline, and power, even a mortal may one day transcend their destiny.

Recently, Kael's search for answers led him too close to something he was never meant to uncover. He remembers pieces of what followed, but much of it is simply gone.

He returned changed. Strange scars now cover his body, parts of his memory are missing, and even his magic has begun to behave differently. He doesn't fully understand what happened to him, nor what exactly he has become.

More recently, Kael encountered the Curse, a monstrous entity that swallowed him whole. Rather than killing him, the Curse changed him in ways Kael cannot yet understand. After some unknown period of time, it suddenly spat him back out, leaving him alive but fundamentally different. Why the Curse chose to transform him, and why it ultimately released him, remains completely unknown.

For now, Kael continues forward. There are still answers he wants, places he has yet to see, and far too much left in this world for him to understand.
