Darkness has fallen upon the eerie Nameless District. Monsters and madness roam the streets. The citizens flee if they can, cower if they can’t, and die if they are found. The Labyrinth Lord has put out a call for every able bodied adventurer and hero to brave the darkness and put an end to whatever is causing it. The task will not be easy, but for the brave and the strong, it is conquerable.
CONTENT WARNING: This is an eldritch horror game. Expect R-rated horror content. I will be putting on a different GM persona, “TheLoanCrusade,” who is cruel, brutal, and generally not nice, especially to 5.5e characters. This persona is purely fictional abd used in a fictitious manner, and any resemblance to real people, living or dead, is completely coincidental.
NOTE: This is part of an ongoing campaign that you can drop into and out of. The gameplay loop is heavily inspired by Darkest Dungeon. The campaign is split into a series of “chapters”, each one consisting of four sessions and then a boss session. The pre-boss sessions are combat intensive and loot is reliant on succeeding on esoteric skill challenges such as History, Religion, and Nature. At the end of each pre-boss session there is a hope of getting a clue that will help you prepare for the boss. When the boss session happens, if the battle ends in defeat, the chapter is started over. If it ends in victory, the next chapter begins. Each chapter is one Tier of play higher than the previous.
