A small, slender young woman with dark hair rough cut at about collar length, and pale grey eyes. Zariyah is quick and light on her feet; like most Shinjo, she learned to ride before she learned to walk. She has a ready smile and is generally good-humored, though her temper gets away with her sometimes. She dotes on her horse Hibi, a pale golden dun mare who's entirely too smart for anyone's good, and the two are inseparable. Though still young, only a handful of years past her gempukku, she has worked scouting and bounty hunting jobs from Shinjo lands to the Badger pass to the Sand Road. For the past few years, her lord has frequently paired her with a burly shugenja named Moto Morotaka for these assignments, and the two have now been sent to the City of the Rich Frog.
