City of the Rich Frog

Konnichiwa L5R RPG players and enthusiasts!

Welcome to the City of the Rich Frog, a Living World/Westmarch style campaign set in the city of the same name. The campaign is set in the 5th edition of the L5R game system designed by Fantasy Flight Games (and now under the custodianship of Edge Studios) and the soft rebooted timeline. We will very loosely be following the events described in the story of the LCG, but for the most part events will be self-contained to the City, the nearby ronin village of Nanashi Mura, and the areas around both. Although that does not mean your characters might experience adventures elsewhere like the Steppes of the Unicorn, the mountain peaks of the Dragon, or the regimented lands of the Lion.

Our GM team of 9 covers North America (4), Europe (4; Ireland, Germany, Poland and UK), and Australia (1) and are available to help get you started in your epic journey across multiple seasons!

Whether you are a paragon of honour, or a scoundrel there is plenty of opportunity to be had. Starting characters can hail from any of the Great Clans, the Badger and Dragonfly minor clans, and ronin. Players will be able to unlock a second character with more minor clan options later on.

Player housing, commerce and businesses will be rolled out over time once PCs are established in the city and make names for themselves.

Voice sessions will take place in Discord and using Foundry VTT.

Play-by-Post will also take place within Discord for larger open events and general RP between characters.
