Bonk is a hulking mass of muscle dressed as a clown.
As an infant he was abandoned by his original parents but was found and adopted by a travelling dwarven circus troupe. The troupe turned out to be assassins and Bonk was raised mostly normally and happily besides the murder training.
One night when he was still young, the entire troupe was wiped out by a rival assassins guild and Bonk was left, his enemies thinking him a slave. The now orphaned Bonk who was early in both his assassin and clown training grew up in the wilds. He developed his crude and brutish ways but always retained his identity as a clown and through the years Bonk just became Bonk.
