What actually happened?

Party travelled to an overgrown structure to find sentient plants crawling everywhere. Apparently someones magic fertiliser went wrong. They did some gardening and headed home.

What actually happened?

Took a job from a random person saying something about plants that they gave Fertilizer, no- Magic Fertilizer and had came to life. Party went and eradicated the plants.
