His parents left Saarivalkea with their children, including Aneirin (ah-NAIR-ihn), for far off Bazagon when he was a child. Not long after Aneirin came of age, he fought against the fiends in the Infernal War. After the war, he returned to Bazagon unwell and with his handsome looks marred by an ashen complexion. His appearance was not the only way that conflict left him changed.
After his return, Aneirin studied to become a painter, which swiftly left him hungry. Deciding to delay that pursuit, he used his knowledge he picked up traveling to start a small trade operation. That gained him a measure of success until his success resulted in less business for larger, wealthier, and better connected merchants.
After those rival merchants moved in on Aneirin's contacts and suppliers, he lost most of his business. He sailed back to Saarivalkea to start over. While he'd prefer to help those who cannot pay for his services, he will reluctantly work for those wealthy enough to afford well-trained guards and mercenaries. He would need plenty of coin to rebuild a trading company.
Aneirin stands 5'7" tall and is stout enough to carry a greatsword without looking awkward. His ashen skin contrasts with his waist-length, blonde hair. He currently favors a falchion and shield, though, while he works himself back into fighting shape. Aneirin is guarded and seldom shares much about himself. He wears finery that seems ill-suited for a sellsword, which he keeps in immaculate condition.
