Dakkar (DAK-kar) was a promising junior officer and signaler in the army of Bazagonian Empire. His birth name was Skadakkar (ska-DAK-karr). Assigned to naval operations, he last served in a unit operating along the coasts of Magneland hunting pirates and bandits.

One of their raids went horribly wrong. They were ambushed, and Skadakkar used his unique skills to lead pursuers away from his comrades. Most of Skadakkar's comrades escaped, but he was captured. His vindictive captors sold him into slavery, eventually landing him in the hands of King Foldrid Runegate in Bjarnfell.

Bearing the Clan Runegate slave brand, their slave collar, and chains, Dakkar doubts the Empire will come for him. His suffering in Bjarnfell, including several near-death experiences, have led him to accept help from elsewhere. Now, he has plans, but he keeps them to himself.

The dragonborn Skadakkar has a solid, fit physique. When standing at his full height, he is 6'2", and his posture hints at military training or experience. Dakkar's scales have a darker, cloudy tint to them, and he bears warthog-like tusks from some terrible experience he suffered within Bjarnfell.
