Veyrul, The Oneiric Witness

Veyrul is a newly awakened Paracosma. Veyrul came into being after a violent dream from his Farmind, the outer entity whose thoughts gave him shape. His first memories were not childhood memories. They were fragments: a king downing chained beneath black water, a city with no doors, a thousand voices whispering the same name in different languages, an army of undead children marching on an elven wode.

The Sleeping Door

There is a door that only appears in dreams. Veyrul has seen it every night since his birth. Recently, pieces of it have begun appearing in the real world: a handle in one ruin, a hinge in another, a keyhole carved into someone’s skull.

He wanders to assemble the door and open it. He does not know what is behind it, but it calls to him.

Description:

Veyrul, The Oneiric Witness, is a tall, floating Paracosma wrapped in a ragged black cloak, his dark crimson and bruised-purple flesh marked with alien ridges and wet, nightmare-born textures. His massive head is crowned with curling tendrils and small glowing eyes, while one large amber eye dominates his face, split by a brutal diagonal scar. The wound looks ancient, but not healed. He remembers searing pain but not what caused it. It still throbs.
