A Foul Stench

The greater forest is best avoided. That is the conventional wisdom that goes around Torrine. Within its dense trees undead and demons from the Abyss lurk, waiting to pounce on unsuspecting victims. Some even speak of demonic plants, waiting to eat people alive.

And yet, you are here to clear the area of undead. A brave few scouting parties reported traces of recent necromancy three or so leagues within the forest. They were driven off by undead before they could trace its exact origin, however.

The party found a strange mound, beneath which was a temple-like structure. Investigating around, they found a shrine to Vikon, the lich-god of undeath. They also found the temple filled with strange undead, such as the life-sucking Vasuthant, and the vile Necrosis Carnex.
