Ôlwenn lived as a local wizard working for her community using magic to resolve mundane issues in the town. Being young and reckless, when her lover, Harbert, was conscripted to join the Imperial Legion in their efforts, he proposed to her and promised that they would get married once he was back. She of course accepted the proposal and waited for his return.

The two communicated with each other through messages that struggled to get in and out of the front until his letters suddenly stopped arriving. A couple of months later the news of his death arrived at the town and Ôlwenn was distraught.

Nearly 8 years passed as she was stuck on a spiral of grief with the loss of her betrothed, not moving on with her life, but after finally facing her feelings she makes a harsh and rather reckless decision. In a rather self-destructive manner, she decides to join the fight with her abilities as a wizard in order to deal with her grief and avenge her fiancé's death.
