Tavas is the child of a dalliance between an elven noble woman and a human outlander and adventurer, though raised in a great hall and with opportunities many didn't have access to, he remained something of a disgrace for his mother, Liminelia. Though they loved each other dearly, Tavas could feel the judgemental eyes. Some decades after his birth, his grandfather, unhappy with the stain upon their honour brought by a bastard brought an ultimatum to him. Stay, and his mother would be cast out the family, go and he would be allowed to take a warbow and a lance, and his mother would be welcomed back into the family. Lacking any real prospects at home, and long curious as to the great frontier that had claimed his father, Tavas took the deal at once. He had always been more comfortable among the wilds anyway, though just how hostile the world out there could be still came as a surprise to him.
