Discord App Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the WestMarches.games Discord bot and related services ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The WestMarches.games Discord bot provides automated notifications and management tools for tabletop role-playing game communities. The Service includes:

• Discord server integration for community management
• Automated notifications for game sessions and events
• Character and session management tools
• Role-based access control and permissions
• Data synchronization between Discord and the web platform

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of the Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when setting up the bot
• Maintain appropriate permissions and access controls for your Discord server
• Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the Service
• Not use the Service to spam, harass, or harm other users
• Comply with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines

4. Discord Integration

The Service integrates with Discord through official APIs. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

• You have the necessary permissions to add bots to your Discord server
• The bot will have access to channels and messages as configured by you
• Discord's own terms and policies apply to your use of Discord
• We are not responsible for Discord's service availability or changes to their API

5. Data and Privacy

The Service processes and stores data to provide its functionality. This includes:

• Discord server and channel information for bot configuration
• User IDs and role information for permission management
• Message IDs for notification management and updates
• Community and character data for game management features

We handle this data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WestMarches.games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may also stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your Discord server.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our data retention policies.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from our platform. You can do this by:

• Contacting us through our Discord server
• Emailing us at support@westmarches.games

When you delete your account data, we will remove your personal information (email, username, avatar, nicknames) while preserving your communities, characters, and other content you have created.
