Crashing the Wedding

Months before, a carrier pseudodragon was robbed by two members of the Glassfang Syndicate. They discovered an invitation to the wedding of Marigold and Daffodil Pots, Eladrin brides from the High Forest. Curious for one reason or another, Aber, Alvis, Artemyeva, Jax, and Sylk (myself) set out in our finest attire to wish the happy couple well.
After pretending we were an unnamed band to assist in the festivities, we mingled with the crowd until the ceremony. Marigold's parents explained Daffodil comes from a family whose business was in the pigmentation of arcane arts. Evidently, this means what color is associated with what school of magic. There truly is a career for everyone... Arlis made friends with a despondent eladrin in an unrequited love with Marigold. Artemyeva chatted with the servants and scouted our lack of exits. Jax networked for his trading business, discovering a greater Coven of hags had taken notice of the Syndicate's meddling. And Aber met a fae child named Plumgrass, who offered them a drink. I was not aware constructs could become inebriated, but it became a hassle to wrestle Aber into the correct seat for the ceremony.
After seats were taken, the officiant began to talk. But they were interrupted, as a night hag came behind him and killed him. She declared that the fae at the wedding would become worthy sacrifices to the Coven spreading. Another night hag appeared, and several fae burst and became giant toads! We sprung into action to defend the wedding goers, some of us without our armor, some of us without our weapons. In the chaos, Alvis charged after the fleeing night hag through a portal deep in the forest. None of us expected more hags on the other side, and to be put on the ropes so severely. The fleeing night hag threw an entire casting of magic missiles at the wounded Aber and killed them instantly. Jax used all of his healing. Artemyeva wore out her focus points. Alvis drained all of his magic in protecting Aber's body. And I, without my armor, tanked against the swipes of each hag. Saying the fight was brutal was an understatement.
When the fight subsided, Daffodil, Marigold, and Plumgrass passed through the portal to check on us. Plumgrass was distraught seeing Aber's body, begging her mother Marigold to help. But Daffodil was the one who stepped in, using her diamond ring and bringing Aber back to life. The reception was tense at first, when we all returned. But soon, drinks were shared, and we went home with a new perspective on life.

A bit unorthodox to say the least. Some of my new found comrades had stumbled up a lost wedding invitation and had decided they wanted to go and crash the party. Alvis is not opposed to such Hi-jinx, and so when I had been invited to join in the merry making I could not simply say no. now, what made this event even stranger was that it seemed to have taken place in the fey? or perhaps adjacent to a fey crossing? the details I was not clear on. but this was most certainly a fey wedding.
We arrived and as expected we were asked to check any weapons and such things before entering. standard procedure. however. I insisted on keeping my blade and shield on me. as they are part of my performance. This they allowed. which thankfully was for the best.
The event was gorgeous the brides to be could not be more in love. though there was one gentleman who seemed dower. Alvis does not like seeing down trodden faces at happy occasions. so I went to the man and talked to him. He was in love with one of the brides. which one? I can not recall. but anyway. My words did not seem to entirly reach him but. he did gather enough courage to be happy for the brides and to take part and enjoy the party. was good time.
But when we reached the ceremony. A disgusting hag had revealed herself to be among the attendees! Angry and bitter she was not invited! certainly this is not ideal for the wedding! and even worse. . .SHE TURNED THE GUESTS INTO GIANT FROGS INCLUDING THE SAD CHAP WHO WAS HAVING A DAY! no! NO I SAY! to my comrades credit. we were not invited and were trespassing on this event. but it was a good thing we were there! we jumped in rescue! blocking the vicious hag from the beatiful couple as the others fended off the assulting frogs. we did not have the means to rescue them. BUT AVENGE THEM WE SHALL! and so we fought tooth and nail. blood, sweat and toil to fight the horribe nightmares. one attempted to get away. BUT NAY! ALVIS GIVES CHASE. . .this turned out to be not a great move. As the horrid monster was not running. it was getting help from her coven. it turns out this area has a hag problem as there seems to be a large coven forming of numerous hags. Something about the establishment of the Syndicate has disturbed them and they have begun to band together. . .but. this speculation had to wait! for there was a fight to be had! I held my ground for as long as I could until my fellows could come join. but we were in for an up stream battle with no oar so to speak. Aber loosing his life to allow us to retreat. but. . VICTORIOUS WE EMERGED!!!
Alvis will be more careful in the future. as I can not help but ponder that Aber's death was a result of my miscalculation. . . . .but we did bring Aber back. he is fine now.
