"The best way out is always through." Not just a saying for a man like Baradir, it's his way of life. No shortcuts, no hesitation, no giving up.

Baradir is a simple man, with simple goals. Born to a family of sailors, he worked himself hard from youth, learning the ropes about life around and on the seas. The Albers were a cantankerous bunch, and their youngest son was no different, as bull-headed as the rest of 'em. Loved to argue, fight, and break a few fingers to prove a point. Though it was quite the surprise when he showed an aptitude for magic. But he didn't bother trying to raise money for some fancy Mage's College. He learned the good ol' fashioned way: Hard work, and trade. He worked and bartered and trained himself with any magic he could find from fellow sailors on the high seas and the coast. But he didn't have much use for it, outside of simple tasks on-board.

That is, until he joined up with a new crew. Some zealous lot who dedicated themselves to protecting the coast and the seas from any aquatic threat or disaster. It was with them that Baradir thrived. They fought pirates, saved folks from shipwrecks, battled through deadly storms to bring aid to all who needed it. Baradir made a small name for himself in his crew, always the first to fight, the first to step up to a challenge. The Wavebreaker, the man who would split through the strongest tides of the sea itself. And nowadays, he's keen to bring his skills further inland, to help out those who can't weather the storm themself.
