Lightbringer is a holiday celebration held in Ghee at the end of the year in part to celebrate the solstice with a number of myths and legends around it including a folk tale of Lorne Lightbringer, patron saint of children and the poor, battling against a winter spirit named Jack. Additionally it is a time of generosity and kindness. Gift-giving rituals amongst friends and family are common and feats of altruism are encouraged among the more wealthy population. This year a giant tower of ice has formed outside the city gates. This tower has made the winter more fierce, and some whisper that Jack has returned to seek his vengeance against Lorne and Ghee. Yesterday, a frigid gust came from the tower around midday and covered the windows in Ghee with ice. A hearth can only do so much to push back the cold.
It is obvious Lorne is not coming to the rescue, but what shall be done? The governor of Ghee has issues a bounty for any adventurers capable of solving the issue: a key to the city and a feast at the governor's mansion Lightbringer's Day.
