Life's hard when you're an Infernis. People hate you for your devilblood. Life's hard when you're an Aetheris. Everyone puts pressure on you to be perfect, and hate you if you cannot be like the Gods you claim to have descendance from. It's doubly shitty when you're both. One group wants you dead for being a hellish affront to the gods and humanity, and the other half hates you because you somehow fucked up being the gods' gift to the world. You're seen as an omen, a blight, an impossibility. And considering Xari got dropped off in the middle of a village with no parent to claim them, an impossibility and oddity is exactly what they were considered.
Xari wasn't exactly raised by the village that they were dropped in. No one wanted to take a child of ill omen in. So, Xari was left to fend for themself, or should have been if it weren't for the Wildman. No name, just 'Wildman.' Don't ask questions, Xari doesn't know. But, the Wildman took in the child, raised them, taught them to hunt fight, cast magic...yeah that was an awkward development. The half-demon/half-angel child can shoot raw magic from their hands. No one in the village liked that. So, like any (in)sane society would do, they carted off the Wildman to who-knows-where, probably killed him, and ran Xari out of their community and towards the mountains. Surely they would've died there, right?
Wrong. Xari managed to survive the mountains and by the skin of their teeth, make it through the mountain barrier and down south into the Ruby Coast. They stumbled into a fort manned by Dwarves, and one kind soul decided that this freak of nature should join up with the League, who has a habit of taking in weirdos and strays. Hopefully this works out in the long run...
