A mining crew is soon to set sail for an island off the coast. Surveyors have previously returned reporting positive signs of rich ore veins running through a mountain range on the island. These veins are said to include tunnels full of enchanted crystal called Wizlight, used as a component of complex rituals and used for crafting foci for some mages. These miners aim to create a rudimentary settlement and begin mining operations. Such works could disrupt local wildlife not to mention the draw for bandits and pirates. They've sent a request to the League asking for a band of adventurers to act as protection as they sail and setup operations until they're established and can hire permanent guards from their population.
