We were met by a scalier looking hobgoblin at the Syndicate that works for a dragon under the Blood of Morueme. We followed the hobgoblin along the cursed road and went by a city that looked abandoned but wards were over its walls. The hobgoblin, Horio, told us it was called Glaurachyndaar. We bypassed the city and continued walking, nearly getting caught in an avalanche again. Why do they keep sending me on these jobs, I put in that I specifically did not want to do these kinds of jobs any further.

We parted with the hobgoblin and found a ravine that we entered into and were accosted by a swarm of strange, fleshy mosquito creatues and giant scorpions. We managed to dispatch them all, taking a rest afterwards before we continued into the ravine. Further in we found a few skeletal corpses, a horse corpse and a cave entrance. We entered the cave and heard squawking and were accosted by strange dragon creatures.

We defeated them after a rough battle and took their heads for the Sky Surge.

Venomous Vermin

26-27 Kythorn, 1502 DR

Nahaunglaroth the Sky Surge, of the Blood of Morueme, summoned help from the Glassfang Syndicate. He requested service through a messenger, a bugbear named Hario. He provided a scroll with the task- to clear out the pests in the dragon's territory. Arlis, Salviron, Temoren, and Sylk (myself) set out at the behest of the Sky Surge. Hario insisted on playing his recorder during our travels. And Temoren and Salviron graced our journey with chatter about Glaurachyndaar/Myth Glauroch and the Nether Mountains. It was a long walk.

At the mouth of the territory, we were accosted by swarms of stirges and large scorpions. The creatures were excellent at grabbing and pinning us, draining blood and stinging relentlessly. Though we made it without anyone falling, much of our resources were drained. We took a rest in the protection of a Leomund's Tiny Hut Salviron made, before pushing further.

The cave at the end held a pool, along with poisonous psuedodragons and their wyvern parents. This fight went more smoothly than the last, with me tanking through Blur and poison attacks, Arlis and Salviron's attacks hitting multiple targets, and healing and assists from Tamoren. When the dragons all fell, we took their heads, called Nahaunglaroth, then met Hario at our rendezvous point. Hario passed along gold and potions for our time, saying we did great work on behalf of the Sky Surge.

Location: Nether Mountains
So the Sky Surge sent one of his hobblegobbles to meet us at the Syndicate. They gave us the instructions directed by the dragon of the Blood of Morueme known as the Sky Surge. Come to find out that's the fuckin' dragon I saw in my vision. Anyways, we were sent out to the Nether Mountains, passed through a ruined city called Glaurachyndaar, almost got caught in a fuckin' rock slide.

We went into a ravine, ended up getting attacked by swarms of weird-ass mosquito things and giant scorpions. We took 'em all out but realized that wasn't the goal of the job. So we headed into a cave and found a bunch of dragon things. They didn't have all the legs a normal dragon does... Felt real bad cause they were just nestin' and had babies. Had to kill 'em all and take their heads. I wish we didn't have to. A bit of a downer on my night...

Patrol Report: Venomous Vermin

Temoren Cairnwright - 26-27 Kythorn, 1502 DR

Our party was sent north toward the Nether Mountains on behalf of Nahaungloroth the Sky Surge, of the Blood of Morueme. His messenger, Hario, delivered the assignment through a sealed letter. The task was simple in wording: remove an infection from the Sky Surge’s territory and return with proof.

Hario was worth noting. His skin had a subtle scaled quality to it, not immediately obvious, but present. Given who he serves, I recorded it.

We traveled along the Delimbiyr River route. The map provided was poor. Trails were misplaced, markers were strange, and the land did not match the page in several important places. I corrected my copy as we went and began drafting a better version.

We passed near Glaurachyndaar. It is large, fortified, warded, and empty. Not empty in the ordinary ruin sense. Empty in the “someone made sure this place was sealed, protected, or abandoned for a reason” sense. I do not know enough to state more with certainty.

After parting from Hario, we entered the mountain territory and found a ravine. The first fight was against swarms of stirges and giant scorpions. I was swarmed early and repeatedly stung, but stayed functional enough to heal, support, and place Faerie Fire where it would help the others.

Farther in, we found a cave with poisonous dragon-like creatures and wyverns. The fight was dangerous, but controlled. Salviron’s magic helped keep it from becoming much worse, and I focused on keeping Sylk and Arlis standing where I could.

We completed the work, collected proof, and signaled the Sky Surge as instructed. Payment was received. It was light for the amount of venom, blood loss, mountain travel, and recorder music involved.

I did get a better map out of it.

P.S. Fetch was disabled near the start of the first fight by friendly fire from Salviron. This is not a complaint, only a note for accuracy. He can be repaired. I have the tools.
