I joined Tapioca, Onics, Kyani, and Forvist on a job to recover two hidden caches somewhere within the Greypeak Mountains. On the way to the first cache, we were attacked by several giant badgers wearing leather collars with names written in Draconic. They seemed domesticated, so we dealt with them non-lethally where possible. One of them was apparently named Daisy.

The first cache was hidden within a pyramid. Onics, Kyani, and Tapioca reached the top first while Forvist and I climbed a rope after them. During the climb, two galeb duhrs emerged from the stone walls and startled me badly enough that I accidentally called for help. The creatures misunderstood and helped pull us up instead. They turned out to be guardians of the pyramid suffering from rock beetle parasites, so we prepared a balm for them in exchange for information on how to safely enter. After solving a magical riddle involving the phrase "Hail Dragon Queen," we gained access to the pyramid and recovered the valuables inside while carefully avoiding or disarming the remaining traps.

The second cache was hidden within an old dwarven outpost occupied by kobolds. We nearly fought them before learning they were more afraid of the fire creatures deeper inside than they were of us. After some negotiation, the kobolds agreed to leave and pretend we had robbed them. Not long afterward, something began slamming against a nearby door hard enough to crack it and fill the halls with smoke.

Beyond the door we encountered magmins, small fire creatures that explode upon death. After dealing with them, we discovered a strange symbol that periodically spawned more of the creatures. We eventually disabled it, recovered a silver slab that appeared to be part of the cache, and returned with the job completed successfully.
