Chain Devil and Friends
Maybe I should start writing these right after the missions.
This one was simple: follow Zimbo, our beloved imp friend.
And so we did. Bri, Solia, Yashir, and I followed Zimbo. There wasn't much that happened during the trip, aside from some strange behavior from the group—and myself. I won't deny that I was acting a bit unusual, but I guess that's what happens when you die and get brought back to life.
As I was saying, the trip itself was normal; the people, not so much. We did run into a cyclops one night, but it was fairly easy work, so I'm not going to go into much detail about it.
When we arrived at the place where Zimbo was supposed to report back, we found a cave. Guarding it was a strange troll with faces all over its body. The fight wasn't too complicated. Aside from Yashir taking some heavy hits, we managed to kill it. After checking for loot, we threw its body down the mountain so that, if anyone came out of the cave, everything would look normal.
While we were discussing our next move, I decided to go inside and see what was there.
I know—not a great idea. But I'm still here, so...
Inside, I found three hobgoblins who looked far more organized than any goblinoids I'd seen before, some goblins, a few invisible imps, and a chain devil guy (a devil made of chains).
After gathering that information, I got back out. Before going in, we decided to take a short rest and patch ourselves up a bit before charging the cave.
Well, that didn't matter.
About eight minutes into our rest, a goblin and an imp came out. For some reason, Yashir decided to sneak up on them by climbing the mountain. They spotted him, and I only had enough time to kill the goblin before the imp managed to run back inside.
With all of that happening, we were forced to charge into the cave.
The fight was difficult. Honestly, I'd say the worst part was dealing with the hobgoblins.
In the end, we killed everyone except the chain guy. We knocked him unconscious and tried to interrogate him afterward.
It did not go well. Haha.
