Background: Ludo is an aged Brumathane war veteran who specializes in destructive magic. He’s hard of hearing due to the frequency at which he creates explosions. He boasts that he was once just as good at fighting with a blade as he was with magic, though his swordsmanship left him with age. He operated a form of magical artillery called “mini allabons” which required 300 pounds of spell components, which he personally hauled over his shoulders. Though Ludo fought in the Infernal War, his team of mages were in a relatively safe military role, having the task of blasting the fiends from a distance. He has a wife and son back in his homeland, who he hasn't spent much time with. He has a bat familiar called Crumbs IV. Don't ask what happened to the first three.
Appearance: Ludo is a bald bearded elderly wizard wielding a magical staff. But unlike your typical wizard, Ludo has a bizarrely muscular frame. He wears a large fur coat, though is plenty comfortable with the feeling of snow on his bare skin. He has a missing finger on his right hand, a lazy left eye, and he uses a small trumpet for his right ear as a hearing aid.
Personality: Ludo has a jovial personality. He drinks heartily and enjoys the company of others. He particularly likes surprising young adventurers by showing off his immense strength. Though he has extreme prejudices against non-humans, in Grjotgardr he has often been forced to swallow his pride when working alongside the many strange adventurers. In spite of his carefree nature, Ludo takes infernal threats very seriously.
Other Details: Lorewise, Ludo would probably have been around level 7-10 in his prime. He is likely at his current level of power due to being out of practice and old. Maybe he was a multiclass that lost only his fighter levels when he got older.
