Mercenary by trade, if the pay is good no job is too dirty for Barkley to take on. Barkley believe that there will always be someone to take on these jobs, so it may as well be him getting paid. To Barkley money is merely a means to strength because in this world only the wealthy are respected.

Barkley's oath is a nihilistic one, it is born from a rage at the world.

He believes the world itself is unjust and has vowed to right it for himself. He was not born of noble blood or in safe lands and so he has fought his whole.

His oath is of vengeance against the injustice of the world, he will kill, steal, lie, and betray to better himself and those he deems his allies. He is selfish and self serving, he would admit that himself.
