Galter is a resident of the dock wards and a devout follower of Khara. Galter's faith in the church has been shaken in light of the many Martyred clergy members and the vile rumors spread through Chateauclair, though none of that makes his blood boil as much as the fate of the orphans of St Cornue.

Decades ago Galter had killed a man in a rigging accident and left his son an orphan, none took the boy in and so he was sent to St Cornue by the Church.... where he was sent to the slaughter. When Galter learned of his fate, of the 56 names beneath the old Willow of St Cornue he made up his mind, these monsters will die.

Galter's faith in Khara is strong, he thinks most priests of the faith to the dogs of the elven monsters responsible for these atrocities'.
