Born to local Halcyon City politicians Iris and Michael Palmer, Jessica has been invested in the world of superhero politics quite literally her entire life. As a result of her parents' rather stagnant political success, Jessica grew up in a relatively lower class lifestyle. This combined with a substantial lack of investment in her life from either of her parents pushed Jessica to strive to be the best at everything.

Desperate to make a name for herself and escape her parents' infectious sense of mediocrity, Jessica struck out to become a political activist independent of either of her parents. Her platform focused predominantly on the topic of collateral damage caused by superheroic activities throughout Halcyon city. In the aftermath of a particularly destructive battle 2 years prior, Jessica's commentary on the matter began sweeping across news channels on a nearly national level, quickly thrusting Jessica into the spotlight she had been desperately clawing for her entire life.

It was because of this rise in notoriety that Jessica was allowed to gain a scholarship to attend Eclipse Academy, as despite her rise in fame she was still limited by the low means her family had to support her education.

Jessica is an extremely motivated person, oftentimes past the point of being detrimental to herself. She's quite stubborn and confident in herself, which can lead to her clashing with others over even trivial matters. However she also strives to be seen as a very mature and sophisticated person as well, which is further enhanced by her need to keep up her good behavior in order to retain her scholarship.
