Appearance

A slight Japanese man standing 166cm (5' 5") tall with dark hair and eyes dressed in a silvery gray military-issue jumpsuit with a long-sleeved, black thumbhole undershirt that conceals his arms. He has a frequently uncomfortable expression on his face. Wrinkles his nose in various situations without realizing it. [Emerald and higher:] He has on four pair of goggles: one on his head, three around his neck.

Backstory

The short version is, he's from Earth, he was a space captain, he is close personal friends with a goddess, and became one of her chosen paladins. The long version... Remains to be revealed.

Background

Stellar Paladin Champion of the Goddess of the Many Worlds, Paxton has had several lives in several universes, most recently in a universe that was designed for him, where he had a wife, three children, and a long and storied career as a spaceship captain in the Interstellar Patrol Service, where he acted as a sort of interstellar police officer.

He is widely known as the goddess's favorite. He can't be permanently killed, as she always brings him back. He is married to Runia, a dragon who finds his outbursts of anger amusing. Runia is the Stellar Mage Champion.

Paxton has been a member of the Many Worlds for over twenty-five years and been friends with Iuri Gavrilenko for almost as long. He is otherwise not well-liked or popular, though he has earned a level of respect from people in the Many Worlds, many of whom participated in his universe as versions of themselves. They have all returned to being their regular selves at this point, though; only Paxton seems interested in rejecting the larger reality of the Many Worlds for the smaller one of his own universe.

Since returning from his universe, Paxton has begun removing people from his universe to add them to the broader multiverse. As an example, he brought Dr. Kenna Carver to Luma.
