A mysterious patron has tasked strangers with a quest of retrieval. A request to retrieve magic items from an ancient hero's tomb will require those of wit, strength and ambition. It seems the assignment will occur in the Swords Coast of Toril. The strange bounty notice for this job was scattered like magical birds to the winds. Countless individuals across the planes and time receive a paper-bird. Upon it's surface a teleportation spell-scroll for the physical realm of Toril, specifically near Candlekeep in the Swords Coast frontier. All those who wish to take upon the task will find themselves whisked to the fabled shores.

He had white hair, very short, with strange blue tattoos all over the skin. Tall and big as a dire bear. Note: "The man keeps returning to ask for anyone knowledgeable about 'echoes'." Weapons and armor seem to be made from adamantine or other exotic material. Multiple grimoires and holy symbols. All unidentifiable. One eye of crystal. Clumsy. Wearing clothing and heraldry which belong to the Lords of Waterdeep, clothing is scorched and frayed.

From all of your own sources (Player character background features), the patron seems to be an exceptionally trained wizard, though eye-witness sources claim no spells were seen, instead saying they must surely be a paladin with their size, armaments and demeanor. And perhaps also a half-giant. It might be best for a group to get the jump on this individual or investigate them more closely before taking a quest outright from the wayfaring stranger.
