The poorer districts of Toshi sano Kanemochi Kaeru have begun to be afflicted by a strange sickness, in which many common folk are being made listless and weak, craving something that they cannot name, but describe with the desperation of the starving or the thirsty. It is feared that this malady may soon spread, if no steps are taken, and thus far all that has been done is the distribution of comforting medicines by charitable souls.
It is hoped that, by the grace of Heaven, the wisdom of the Samurai will find a solution to this growing problem.
