Clothilde de Lionheart was born into the esteemed House Lionheart, a noble family renowned for its honor, integrity, and service to the kingdom. Raised by loving parents, she grew up in a warm household where she was cherished and encouraged to follow her convictions. Though born into privilege, Clothilde never developed a taste for the extravagant lifestyle that many nobles pursued.
From a young age, she was captivated by the stories her mother told her. Tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, the valor of Richard the Lionheart, and countless legends of chivalry filled her imagination. She admired the courage, loyalty, and selflessness of these heroes, dreaming that one day she might walk the same path.
Unlike many noble ladies who aspired to become influential figures in high society, Clothilde's ambitions lay elsewhere. The Lionheart estate was located far from the capital, where life was simpler and closer to the common people. Growing up in the countryside allowed her to witness both the beauty of the realm and the hardships endured by its inhabitants. These experiences strengthened her desire to protect others rather than seek wealth or prestige.
As she came of age, an opportunity presented itself when the kingdom's Knight Order announced a call for volunteers. Seeing a chance to pursue her dream, Clothilde immediately enlisted. Her decision sparked debate among her relatives. Some believed that a noblewoman had no place on the battlefield, while others worried about the dangers she would face.
Despite the disputes, her parents ultimately supported her choice. Since Clothilde was not the sole heir of House Lionheart, the family's future did not rest entirely upon her shoulders. More importantly, her parents understood that denying her dream would only extinguish the spirit they had always admired in their daughter. With mixed feelings of pride and concern, they gave her their blessing.
Recognizing her potential and determination, the Knight Order assigned her to Dawnport, a bustling frontier city known as a gateway between the kingdom's heartland and the untamed lands beyond. Clothilde accepted the posting gladly. To her, Dawnport represented the beginning of her true journey, a place where she could prove herself through action rather than noble birth.
Armed with her sword, her faith in the ideals of chivalry, and the lessons instilled by her family, Clothilde departed for Dawnport. She swore to uphold justice, defend the innocent, and embody the virtues of the legendary knights she had admired since childhood.
