Previous Section: Frequently Asked Questions
This is where all server wide rulings are found. These are rulings that apply to specific situations, or are deviations from rules as written. This section will be expanded on as needed.
A PC may only take 1 long rest, and 2 short rests, in a 24 hour period.
Any standard or rare language may be learned at time of PC creation
Characters inspired by characters in media or otherwise are fine, but you may not play a 1:1 copy of a character that is not yours.
Further defined, this means your character cannot match ALL of the following with another character
A 2024 PC using the "Custom Lineage" species from TCE may select an Origin feat with it's Feat trait. It may not select a Dragonmark, General, Fighting Style, or Epic Boon feat through that trait.
Magic items gained from artificer class features (such as the "Replicate Magic item" feature) do not count towards the magic items you bring on adventures.
All magic items have 3 'traits' - Rarity, Theme, and Major vs Minor tier. See Magic Item Tables for expanded tables that contain all our allowed magic items.
If your PC would like a specific magic item, please post in #plots to see if a DM will run something for your PC to try to obtain that specific item. Major tier magic items may only be granted at the end of a plot.
If granting any long term mechanical benefit from the wish spell, such as from "Object Creation" "Resistance" "Sudden Learning" or "Reshape Reality", you must note the benefit in #discord-requests and link the d100 roll to keep wish from #pc-rolling-logs. If the roll is done outside your PCs thread in that channel, you MUST re-roll it there, and take that roll.
DMs, if having an NPC/monster cast "wish" on PCs with a long term mechanical effect as listed above, you must post in #dm-requests.
This allows staff and Head DMs to keep track of the spell’s mechanical impact for potential rebalancing in the future.
Copying wizard spells into your spell book is a DTP activity, see DTP Activity - Wizards; Expanding & Replacing a Spellbook for more info.
