The expedition went poorly. An avalanche. A white muskrat guided us to a cavern, and we were met by a talking walrus. Mother Tusk. The unnatural weather here is concerning - a curse, she calls it. She says she can get us to where we go, but in order to gain her help, we must help her in turn.
The three options:
- Find one of her missing creatures, sent out as a scout.
- Dethaw the spring.
- Clearing the cave.
The scout, Whisket, is a small, white snow fox, missing after a scouting mission to the spring.
____
Sleds. Hyenas. Victor attempted to leave me behind after he tumbled the sled. A fair enough response given we were in pursuit. It was far more pleasant to ride behind Maze.
___
Tent over the water spring. A woman does rituals within. Gone, now, but I can't feel my hands. Can't feel my feet. My teeth won't stop chattering. Ritual stopped. Within, Jeb, and a spear, tipped with strange eye.
There's so much magic afoot here, problems cropping up.
___
The dead do not pass. They do today.
___
A greedy halfling. Zombies galore. I am tired. Cold. She is divinity among death. My blood runs hot and I swing again.
And again.
And again.
I am no match for the paladin. For Yap. I persist regardless.
___
Home. Somewhere warm.
Went to the Far north with Maze, Yap and Cyrus. Finally got to see my fellow Syndicate members in action. It was Nice we helped a butch of Intelligent Animals with their Zombie and Gnoll problems. It was easy though the ice was annoying.

We were taken to the furthest north where we spoke with a talking walrus, Mother Tusk. She offered to help us if we helped her. She gave us a series of tasks and where to go. The first task, we had to find a white fox by the name of Whisket, who had gone missing. Some searching, and we found the poor thing being harassed by hyenas. Using sleds. we hunted them down and eliminated the threat.
The second task, we located a tent over a water spring that was being used as a ritual site. Gnolls were about, and we took them out and stopped the ritual. To those who we found dead and dismembered, I prayed. Even for the gnolls that lost their life, I prayed for their transition into the afterlife. I had to restore balance. We continued on, we found stone tablets that had orc gods' symbols on them. We were to match them to their slots in a cave, where a greedy archeologist halfling had took them and triggered a sort of curse. Undead orcs stormed the place, but they were no match for my fury, as I held off many so that we could restore the tablets to their rightful place. Yap was exceptionally helpful in our task.
We did not reach the third task before cold and fatigue wore us and we were forced to return. I would not mind coming back here to clear out the undead. I feel there are more afoot that need to be eliminated. Next time we may be better prepared.
