The world of Essepa is named after the Mother Ocean, the ancient ocean that brought life to the barren world that came before. Once its work was done, it gave birth to the Six Seas, and then returned to the fathomless depths below to slumber and give freedom to the world.

Beyond the known lands of Essepa lay the Shrouded Lands. It is accessible only by the Surrounding Sea, also known as Yexi, the Sea of Mystery. It embraces all who venture too far, releasing them out into the Shrouded Lands beyond. Everything there is only whispered mystery, told through myth and legend.
