The lands of Haed are rough and difficult. It is covered in sweeping rock and mountain that allow few plants or crops to survive. Fortunately for the native inhabitants, they were given the chance to thrive through the genius of the Kingdoms founders. Across the continent - and beneath it - resides a Dwarven Megacity.
Connected through a complex rail network, the city consists of four strongholds that are overseen by the Four Kings of Haed.
Throughout the strongholds various garden caverns have been carefully cultivated over generations. From these a food supply of native mushrooms, vine fruits and a few trees has flourished. Meanwhile water caverns allow for fish farming, and grass caverns sustained by Sun Vines sustain cattle and provide potato farmland.
Of course, the main industry of Haed will always be the produce of their advanced quarry and mine system. The mining complex of the Kingdom far surpasses any other kingdom and is the foundation of their economy.
Trade with Haed is grounded in fair nature. Attempts to exploit their good nature will earn a grudge that can last generations.
The Stronghold that oversees the core mining complex of the Kingdom, including the Haed Chasm - the deepest mine of the city. Salid is also home to the Builders Guild, who continue to develop and expand the megacity through the safer mining tunnels. It is ruled by the Stone King, who rarely leaves their royal quarters except to meet with the other Kings.
Across the bases of the Kingdoms mountains is the Haed Verca, the forging stronghold. From here, the finest smithes create every piece of equipment the kingdom needs, plus some for the occassional trading mission. The inventors and tinkerers are directed by the Steel King who rules the stronghold, constantly finding new ways to develop and advance the entire kingdom.
Across the peaks and shores of Haed lay the sprawling citadels and castles of Haed Merada. Ruled by the Banner King, they lead the military force of the Kingdom, as well as their justice system. The King is known to maintain an ancestral store of diplomatic notes for every offence and favour of other nations.
Residing within the central crossing of the largest Garden, Grass and Water caverns, the Halie stronghold is known for its expertly trained farmers and hunters. They are capable of growing effectively anything in even the harshest circumstances if given the proper resources, something they pride themselves in and occassionally consult other nations for. They are led by the Ivory King, a masterful strategist and analyser of beasts of all kinds.
Built atop the burial site of an ancient dragon, the Keep is the meeting place of the Four Kings of Haed and their staff. It is lavishly furnished, while also remaining the most fortified part of the Kingdom. Deep below lays the vaults, incorperating the burial site with the riches of past and present.
