Backstory: The youngest (and only) daughter of one Count Berenzoak. Considered minor nobility, her father's penchant for squandering their family wealth nearly landed all of them out on the streets with no land, no assets and just a title to their names when his gambling debts caught up to him. Carmilla would have ended up as any other beggar if it weren't for the timely offer of a job— another noble needed a maid and a playmate for his own daughter, a young girl by the name of Sootie. Their friendship was quick to bloom, with Carmilla considering her ward to be her saviour, soon swearing her everlasting loyalty to her gun-loving lady.

Now that they're grown she splits her time between spoiling Sootie rotten and making sure she's getting stronger; a powerless servant, after all, is useless to their mistress. If she isn't by her lady's side she's out playing pseudo-adventurer.
