The non-bored newcomers heard about the sparring match and decides that it's going to be a good way to keep their skills sharp while stuck inside the fortress. So, they posted another request. They'll be fighting a bit more seriously this time though.
DM Table Rules:
2014 Grapple rules.
Prebuffs are limited to 3 castings per character with a duration of 1 hour minimum. 8 hours+ are free, but still counts towards the limit.
Flanking on opposite sides will give advantage. Even with more than 2 attackers, there still needs to be at least a pair in opposite sides, though in that case, everyone will get the advantage.
Potions are BA.
Rule of Cool is definitely a thing. Ask and I'll answer.
I'm still new to DM-ing. My fourth quest, in fact, so please don't do anythingΒ tooΒ broken.
On the flip side, balancing on my end might also be a slight issue. I'm not here aiming to kill everyone, and this is a non-lethal sparring match anyway. If your hp reaches 0, you will not perform any death saving throws and will instantly be stabilized. You may still roll a d20 each turn and see if you get a crit, and if you do, you get back up with 1 hp, as per the usual rules. You will get full rewards still.
If you be an ass and try to kill them though, well... remember that they're still holding back and are not shy about summoning backup and going lethal.
