Before the mists came, Vandr was a scholar of the occult. Brought to the study after losing his lover to an unnamed beast. He studied the ancient and forgotten lore of Skalheim, to try to divine the nature of the things that go bump in the night. Their origins, their weaknesses, their powers and how a man might take them for his own. Many a strange creature have been identified, captured, and dissected by Vandr to learn its secret, but he has learned that "accursed" beasts are not necessarily very strong ones, to his constirnation. He has gained a name for himself as an exterminator of sorts, although the creatures he slew were limited to mutated vermin, the occasional possessed three-eyed goat, and strange mushrooms growing in rings near a peasant's farmstead. He has never had much opportunity to actually use the full extent of his skills...until now.

His house has become a laboratory and library of forbidden books his collected over the years, but after The Wild Party In Akerstad literally brought his house down, his supplies have dwindled to what he had moved to the cellar he had hidden himself in during the initial invasion. Now, it is time to move.
