Hordic's mother was a human. This half-orc child of a non-consensual union never met his father and hates the idea of him for naming him "Whore-Dick" and making him what he is. Outcast for his appearance, Hordic grew withdrawn and sullen from being relentlessly bullied, until the day he snapped that red-headed child's neck. Together with his mother Ioca and his half-brother Ronald he was traveling to the cold north for a fresh start. The ship wrecked and as far as he knows, no one else survived. After this, he is just trying to make his way. He doesn't share much. He's decidedly not Vicious, except when pushed to the breaking point.
