He has a distant, empty-eyed stare in most situations and speaks calmly with a courtly demeanor. In battle, he has an intense urge to laugh, the empty look replaced with a wild excitement. He is always accompanied by Sylvie, his sprite familiar. She wears a variety of dresses, usually floral in decoration and appearance. She is constantly chattering to Gallain, usually in sylvan but can speak elvish and common if required. She has blue hair and pale creamy skin, with big green eyes.
