6' 2" red dragonborn, quiver, Longbow, Longsword, shield, doglike head, reptilian snout, scars on his arms and shoulders, a couple on face.
Backstory as seen in a dream: I'm back in the army. We're at one of the many camps that plague my nights. It's always the same one. Sitting at the campfire I am approached by the one I looked up to. The sound of the crackling mixed with the sounds of my brothers and sisters in arms gathering around for the warmth of the fire. It can be surprising sometimes how calming the sounds of clanking armor mixed with the sounds of nature can be. I hand a mug of a strong drink to my friend and we talk a bit. I can't hear his voice. And his face is hard to make out. I suppose that's my punishment for what comes next. I was too busy chatting and was not doing my job as watch. If I was, then perhaps things would be different. But no. As if on que flames begin erupting everywhere. Clouds of smoke and ash fill the air. The very air trembles with the sound of a mighty roar as a massive dragon flies by lighting all in its path ablaze. We had no warning. I gave no warning. I failed my job. And now my friends are burning. I reach out to catch one of them before they fall, but they turn to ash in my arms. I grab a bucket from nearby and try filling it with water to put out some of the flames, but when I toss the water nothing comes. No leaks, but no water. I fill it and try again. No water. I try to smother the flames but everything I touch turns to ash. Eventually I find myself standing before the fiery beast. I draw my axe and charge in but the dragon simply breaths another flame engulfing me. Then nothing. I float in the void left with nothing but my thoughts and despair. A light in the distance calls out to me. I go toward it, but the harder I try the further it seems to get. I swim, and swim, and swim (the end)
