Backstory: After being abandoned by their parents as a means for them to escape a dragon, he was then taken in by that dragon and it's kin. While he was the most human looking creature in the nest, he was not the only outsider. Growing up in this environment he found a love of stars. It was this love that gave him his name, Starlight. Upon coming of age, each guardian is given a youngling to look after. Starlight would have received a drake. But before he could the nest was attacked by bandits. Starlight being the smallest one there was able to hide in a small crevice and saw them take the drakes that yet remained unclaimed. Once they had left he slipped out and looked around. Everyone was either dead or taken. But the dragon that had adopted them all was still there. She was only barely alive and as Starlight approached a mental link was made with a creature that seemed to be getting further away. Love and sorrow filled the eyes of the dragon as she used the last of her strength to name the youngling that was to be Starlight's companion... Flare. Starlight, knowing he could never return took a scale from the dragon and a leather pouch that was dropped and went to stick it in the pouch. Upon opening it he saw some gold coins. With new determination Starlight put the scale in the pouch and began following the link. After a fair bit of traveling Starlight faced a ravine with no way to cross. He could feel Flare was beyond the ravine but with no way to cross Starlight had to find a new path. It was then that he noticed a strange opening in the air nearby. He went through hoping it would lead him closer to his companion.
