1. Context of Investigation:
An unsigned parchment bearing several drawings was discovered caught against the leg of the Guild notice board. The parchment exhibited an unusual directional pull, behaving like a compass drawn toward an unknown beacon.
I informed the assembled adventurers that I had a bad feeling regarding the matter. The party unanimously agreed to investigate. A carriage was subsequently rented from the local inn, and the parchment guided us north-east of Dawnport.
2. Discovery of Froglet Settlement:
The trail led through a cave and into a hidden settlement beside a waterfall. The inhabitants, henceforth referred to as Froglets, consisted of numerous frog-like creatures of varying sizes and varieties. They possess no constructed housing and appear to live openly around the waterfall.
The settlement is led by an individual called King Shoom. Although the Froglets do not appear capable of speech, they demonstrate clear intelligence and communicate through gestures, expressions, and body language.
Several members of the party described them as “cute.” While accurate, this should not distract from the more serious concern that the settlement possesses no visible fortifications and appears largely incapable of defending itself.
3. Source of Hostilities:
Near the settlement, the party encountered a nest of hostile serpents consisting of two giant constrictor snakes and six giant venomous snakes.
One infant Froglet had already been rendered unconscious and captured by the creatures. I ordered its captor to release it while Zelodek moved forward to perform the rescue. Unfortunately, this placed him deep within the hostile group, where he was quickly surrounded and rendered unconscious.
4. Engagement and Resolution:
The Guild party engaged and neutralized all eight hostile serpents. The infant Froglet was successfully recovered and returned alive to its people.
The engagement resulted in Henry, Zelodek, and Lumiere being rendered unconscious at various points. No fatalities were recorded. Following the battle, King Shoom restored the injured party members and provided the group with a reward.
The party returned to Dawnport without further incident.
5. Officer’s Assessment and Recommendation:
The location of the Froglet settlement should remain confidential. Their lack of conventional defenses makes them vulnerable not only to local predators, but also to hunters, slavers, and any opportunist who might mistake peacefulness for helplessness.
Future contact should be limited to a small, non-threatening Guild delegation. The surrounding caves should also be periodically surveyed for further predator nests.

Location of Incident: Dawnport Coastal Perimeter (The Resort)
1. Context of Disturbance:
A private recreational beach establishment recently commenced operations in the coastal sector near Dawnport. To celebrate the opening, management offered complimentary food and hospitality to the public. This event attracted a large, unmanageable crowd of local civilians.
2. Source of Hostilities:
Due to poor judgment on the part of the organizers, live giant crustaceans (crabs) were distributed to civilians for immediate consumption. Predictably, the livestock resisted being eaten alive. The crustaceans initiated hostilities, attacking nearby civilians and the guild party present on the scene.
3. Engagement and Resolution:
The dispatched guild party engaged and neutralized the hostile wildlife. During the combat, an undocumented anomaly occurred: two of the giant crustaceans underwent a physical merging process, forming a single, massive specimen.
Upon its termination by the guild party, the specimen suffered a catastrophic structural failure, resulting in an explosive decompression. This caused an atmospheric rain of shredded, pre-cooked crustacean meat to fall across the entirety of the resort grounds.
4. Logistical Outcome:
To mitigate waste, the guild party successfully harvested the falling biological matter from the air and sand. The recovered meat has been processed, salted, and packed into standard guild rations.
5. Officer's Recommendation:
No further military response is required. However, I strongly advise the guild master to issue a formal public safety warning. Civilians should be strongly discouraged from attempting to eat giant, live predators in public spaces. My desk is currently covered in crab-scented paperwork, and I do not wish to repeat this filing process.
