Strange winged fish, referred to by Highspire’s citizens as skyfins, often join birds and bats in the skies, ‘swimming’ through the air in massive schools. Though the appearance of such flocks is common, no one is entirely sure where they roost, or if they roost at all - some theorize that they dwell in the belowless, breathing the clouded mist that makes up the swirling storm. They aren’t predatory, but angering a skyfin is likely to bring the wrath of a swarm down upon unfortunate vessels. Fishermen often try to separate their targets from the rest of the school.
