A temple was discovered after an earthquake on Mt Vidal. It was been partially explored before, but it felt alive and constantly changing. It’s full of monsters and unexplained treasure chests. A temple that belonged to Kesuth worshipers. Some of the primordial writing speak about the inferno vault. Take the worthy toward the center for some sort of blessing.
Bikaji bought a black pearl which Edwina crushed for her. Edwina bought a jeweled dagger. I assumed they both had disgusting things planned with their magics.
We sailed a few days to get there. We climbed the mountain to the entrance and we could feel the heat coming off it. We followed winding caves for about 20 minutes until we found a glowing pool of lava in a man made trench of red crimson marble. There were pictures on the walls. The air was hot and humid.
We fought off 4 fire elementals. We found a chest with 3 greater healing potions. We found a group of salamanders. After defeating he followers the leader melted into the lava and disappeared.
I found a plaque that seemed very clean for the environment. Edwina told me it said " Trial of the Faithful — beyond lies the Inferno Vault. Prove thy devotion in flame." It opened up into a much larger room. Chaos was inside. Dragons and their kin guarding large crystals. Bik put up a wall of death that blocked most of them from getting to us. Without that we would have been cooked.
Edwina said the dragonkin were saying, “You’ll make a good gift for Vharkul, we’re going to take you to Vharkul.” I think that he was something huge that would eat us.
Edwina tried to rally us to fight the rest of the dragonkin, but we were low on resources and refused. She asked them if we could have any of their treasure and they said absolutely not. We left empty handed, but at least we had our lives.
At the exit we found something strange. A chest with 2500 gold and a note that said "Come back soon, mother misses you." Who the hell is mother?
