Lord Jaeger is still cursed by eternal sleep and thus his mind has been fractured. Torn and split between his worst times and greatest accomplishments. We have been helping him by exploring his mind to find a way to bring him back from the void. Last time, our group slew a massive Cleric Beast and when we returned through the lamp, we were told that Lord Jaeger stirred a bit. Whatever we did in there seemed to help.
So once more we returned to the weird world that existed in this mans mind.
We decided to take a small trip and retrace our path to hit some spots we overlooked in our last adventure. Doing this ran us into a massive pack of dogs. Which as with everything else we decided to kill. Like with many things here they dropped little bits of loots. The bodies here were always filled with these little white, soul-like, things. Once touched they would show themselves as an item and most often these were "blood vials" I don't know why I knew that name but once I touched them I knew exactly what they were and even how to use them. Stab into your thigh, always in the exact same spot, and you would be healed. No matter how I tried to change how it functioned my body would always stab my right thigh with no variance whatsoever. It was so odd how things worked in this place.
We we followed that fight with another. This time it was humanoids one of them was massive about he size of a brown bear. He and his buddies were like all of the rest of the creatures in here. Scary and tough to deal with. The would always rush forward like a swelling wave on the sea over a barrier. They filled any gaps we could use to navigate the space.
Then you won't believe it! We ran into more dogs! Another fight for our lives! Sure once one of us died we would be pulled out of the dream, but that person would die in real life. The pain of it all was also real and would carry over too. On that topic Echo was savaged by a group of enemies. Dropped twice. Nearly died once. Took a massive amount of damage and I was on top of them to keep them breathing but it was close. Too close. We won the fight but it was hard earned.
We opened some chests. I was able to get a makeshift flame thrower, fueled by oil, and when I left the dream...It was not with me.
Dr. Price paid us and we headed out for the night. We would return later and enter a new area- the aqueducts.
